The EPE team celebrated Angela Gray, EPE’s Customer Returns’ birthday today!
Angela manages the returns process at EPE. She always stays positive and upbeat in her role, even when it can be challenging. But she always has a smile on her face and friendly word for anybody who interacts with her; which makes her a joy to work with.

EPE had our first well-being meeting today to give people a chance to talk and discuss matters that affect their well-being at work. As part of that EPE’s Sophie Stead, PA to Noel Pamment very kindly brought in some lovely treats to open our meeting and start off the conversation in a uplifted and positive manner.
Sophie used the Breville Heatsoft Hand Mixer that she won in the an in-office bake off competition at the end of last year to create her delicious cakes for the team.
This handy product from EPE brand partner Breville gently heats cold butter whilst whisking to create the creamiest room temperature butter for baking cakes to cookies. Speeding up the preparation process, with no more waiting around for butter to soften; this product is a must have for home bakers!

Today the EPE team have been busy putting the stand together, ready for Spring Fair and it is coming along nicely. Take a look below for some behind the scenes photos of the build.
We’re excited to welcome customers old and new to our stand and we are incredibly excited to have a whole host of new brands including our new brand partners Melitta. EPE is pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Foley as the new Internal Key Accounts Team Leader.
Craig will be the the main point of contact internally for our Key Account customers. Focusing on continuing to grow existing business, maintaining good relations with our existing key account customers and finding new business opportunities for EPE.
Craig’s appointment to this role is part of EPE’s growth initiative striving to continue building strong partnerships with our existing customers and building new connections as we continue to make headway into growing as a business.

This year, in lieu of an office secret santa, the EPE team has decided to do some good for those in need and run a collection in the office for gifts for the The Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal.
The Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal helps to ensure a child who may not otherwise receive a gift, has a present to open at Christmas. The whole team got involved to bring in a whole host of presents, and putting them under our office Christmas tree to before they were taken to out local Salvation Army centre so they could wrap and distribute them before Christmas.
Along with this the team also collected unwanted, clean warm clothing, outer clothing and shoes to be donated to the local homeless shelter to help those who need it the most, especially at this time of year.

On Friday 13th December, the EPE team got out their cheesiest Christmas Jumpers and got festive for Save the Children’s annual Christmas Jumper Day!
The team really got in the spirit, with punny jumpers, light up jumpers and even the odd festive onesie. Together we raised £48 for the Save the Children.
We hope to continue supporting such worthy causes in the future. Keep your eyes peeled to see more ways we’ve been supporting charities this December.

The EPE team has really been getting into the fundraising spirit for Children In Need 2019 with an in office Bake Off style competition; where the participants had their creations judged in a blind taste test on taste and appearance by our special guest judge Steve Marsh, Channel Controller for Groupe SEB; who very kindly also purchased some of the cakes after the competition to aid our fundraising efforts for this wonderful cause.
The winner of our Bake Off competition was Sophie Stead, Purchase Controller at EPE; with Natasha Copeman, Head of Internal Sales and Debra Nichols, Internal Sales Manager – Electrical Wholesalers coming in at a joint second place. Take a look all of the delicious bakes below.
After the competition the cakes were then sold in our head office, as you can imagine they were sold pretty quickly. The fun didn’t stop there; the team also took part in the Annual Children In Need Duck Race Sweepstake 2019; the competition was rife. With prizes up for grabs and the motivation to do some good for a good cause everyone was eager to cheer on their pun-tastic duck to the finish line. Though in the end the duck known only as Beakwell Tart won the race, albeit without its cherry and Iwona Grabowska, Accounts Administrator won the sweepstake.
In total the EPE team raised £251.08 that will go to the Children in Need charity.
