Shhh…Quiet Appliances: Revolutionising Modern SDAs
Are quiet appliances the key to appealing to the modern consumer?
The sale of consumer appliances, is predicted to exceed £8.4bn in 2020, up from £8.2bn from last year. These appliances are the backbone of the SDA industry, the bread & butter of the appliance sales sandwich. Competition is indisputable, so getting products noticed is a key factor for many retailers. Get Trendy: On trend styles to look out for in SDA at Spring Fair
With Spring Fair fast approaching and many of our customers out on the hunt for fresh new products to add to their repertoire; we thought it best to give you a crash course on the colours and styles to look out for in SDA this season.
Following on from last year’s go to colour of a chic and minimalist grey; this season neutral tones such as creams, warm grey, black and white continue to lead the way as the core colours consumers are looking for in SDA for their homes. Think the Russell Hobbs Inspire Collection, the Breville Flow Collection or the Beko Retro Microwaves for example. Classic but on trend; so if you’re some styling tips for your store pair your neutral coloured SDA’s with warm, rustic, neutral colours such as mint, pistachio and sage greens, mustard yellows and soft coppery browns.
For those looking to add a pop of colour to their in-store and window displays, have no fear its not all neutral and minimalist. With retro styles making a comeback in the last few years so are richer, luxurious colours, such as royal blues and deep ruby reds and metallic and chrome finishes. Think the Crux range for brushed stainless steel with copper accents and the Tefal Steam Generator Irons that come in a range of luxe colours.

EPE Congratulate Panasonic on winning at the ERT Awards 2019!
EPE’s Noel Pamment, Managing Director and Harry Singh, Operations and Finance Director congratulate their brand partners Panasonic for their win at the ERT Awards 2019.
Panasonic won Best New Product – Small Domestic Appliances for the their new slimline, combination microwave oven the NN-CD87 being top of the range. They tackle major issues that affect older people in the UK, such as loneliness and isolation. 1.4 million older people struggle with loneliness in the UK and 225,000 say that they often go a whole week without speaking to anyone. Their Donate Your Words campaign is playing a big part in helping to tackle this with encouraging people to reach out to the older people in their families, neighbourhoods and communities and just having a conversation.

Mica Nespresso Coffee Machine Winner Presented With Prize
EPE have donated a Nespresso Coffee machine to the Mica D.I.Y. Facebook page prize draw.
The lucky winner Debbie went to collect her prize from the St Anne’s Mica store.
Shirley of St Anne’s Mica stated, “We were absolutely delighted that Debbie a regular customer of ours won the Nespresso Coffee Machine through the free prize draw on the Mica D.I.Y. Facebook page, which was donated by EPE”

The EPE And High Street TV Partnership
The new partnership between EPE and High Street TV will have EPE manage High Street TV’s product-line up into stores across the UK
Edward Chary retail director for High Street TV said, “We believe that EPE will provide the best route on the electrical independent market for our best selling TV backed products”
EPE International managing director Noel Pamment added, “The key to demonstrating SDAs in-stores is to create ‘theatre’. Buy a fresh chicken, for example and in a safe area of the store, use the Pressure King Pro to steam it in super quick time”.
The partnership between EPE and High Street TV will bring more ranges to a wider variety of stores from big names to the independents.
